If this campaign gets one woman to check the lump she thought was nothing, it's all worth it.”

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, UNITED STATES, October 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Britta Mobley, a breast cancer survivor and co-owner of BeautyNow Med Spa in Salt Lake City, Utah, has created Too Hot For Cancer, a Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign that gives free facials to women in breast cancer treatment and to breast cancer survivors. The name comes from what her husband, Salt Lake City facial plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Mobley, told her after a hard day of cancer appointments: "You're just too hot for cancer."

Britta Mobley of Salt Lake City, Utah, has never skipped a yearly mammogram, and her February 2025 screening was clear. In late September 2025, she found a lump herself. Follow-up imaging at Huntsman Cancer Institute could not show whether it was cancer, and she was offered two choices: wait and see, or have a biopsy. She chose the biopsy right away. On November 21, 2025, she learned she had stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma. She had a lumpectomy in January 2026, with clear margins, and breast radiation in March, and an MRI this September showed no cancer in her breast. She will take hormone-blocking medication and have a yearly mammogram and MRI for five years. Her family carried her through it: her older son cared for her after surgery, and her younger son was beside her when she rang the bell after her last radiation treatment.

"I'm so thankful I didn't wait and see," said Britta Mobley. "If something doesn't feel right, even after a clear mammogram, get it checked. If this campaign gets one woman to check the lump she thought was nothing, it's all worth it."

The campaign's name was born on a drive home from the cancer center in Salt Lake City, Utah. After an overwhelming appointment spent weighing surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and medications, Dr. Steven Mobley, a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon, looked at his wife and said, "I just can't believe you have cancer. You're just too hot for cancer." The words stuck. After her radiation treatments, Britta Mobley created Too Hot For Cancer and brought the idea to her BeautyNow Med Spa team: turn the hardest year of her life into something positive for other women. The team considered a softer name, but kept Too Hot For Cancer because it was real: a husband's loving words to his wife.

"My husband is my superhero. I could not have gotten through this without him," said Britta Mobley. "I had so much love around me, from my husband, my sons, my parents and our work family, and I still had moments when I didn't feel strong. Every woman battling cancer deserves time to be pampered and to care for herself. That's where the idea came from."

Britta Mobley says the name also fits every woman she met in the radiation waiting room in Salt Lake City, Utah. "We were all sitting there in hospital gowns, and every one of us had our hair and makeup done," she said. "None of us were going into treatment without looking our best. Every one of those women, and every woman facing this, is too hot for cancer."

Through Too Hot For Cancer, BeautyNow Med Spa in Salt Lake City, Utah, gives a free facial with its esthetician, Allie, to women undergoing breast cancer treatment and to breast cancer survivors. Women can nominate themselves or someone they love at https://too-hot-hope-stories.lovable.app, a form also linked on BeautyNow's Instagram, @beautynowmedspa, and Britta Mobley personally calls every nominee to schedule. More than 10 women are already on the schedule. Nominees who are in chemotherapy and cannot come in yet will be scheduled when they are able. Each woman also receives a Too Hot For Cancer T-shirt and bracelet. The campaign does not raise money; it focuses on self-care and on education, through Instagram interviews with doctors, nurses, breast cancer patients and charitable organizations.

Britta Mobley says the response has moved her. One woman told her after her facial that she felt better than she had in a very long time. Several women have asked to share their own stories on video so other women know they are not alone.

"Britta has been so incredibly strong through all of this, and it was in her heart to give a little back. She turned the worst news a couple could hear into a way to care for other women," said Dr. Steven Mobley, medical director of BeautyNow Med Spa in Salt Lake City, Utah. "I said those words to her on one of our worst days. Now we get to say them to every woman who comes through our door."

As co-owner of BeautyNow Med Spa in Salt Lake City, Utah, Britta Mobley runs the med spa's daily operations and logistics, while her husband, Dr. Steven Mobley, guides its medical vision as medical director.

Dr. Steven Mobley, a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon, has practiced in Salt Lake City, Utah, for over 24 years and is the former Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Utah.
